2025 Sunflower Field

The 2025 Sunflower Field is now CLOSED FOR THE SEASON

Minnesota Agritourism Liability:

Under Minnesota law, an agritourism professional is not liable for and injury to or the death of a participant in an agritourism activity if the injury or death results from an inherent risk associated with the agritourism activity.

Minn. Stat. 604A.40

*Currently, ONLY THE SUNFLOWER FIELD IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. The rest of our farm is NOT open to the public. Please do NOT attempt to open our sheds or schoolhouse. Do NOT go into the pumpkin or corn patches. (This is a critical time for them, and people tromping through them will ruin our crop.) Do not wander around the farm or our yard. Do NOT go past fences, chains, signs or otherwise restricted areas. We do have cameras around the farm, and if these things occur, it will prevent us from offering a sunflower field again in the future.

Ok, after all the "dont's" we do want you to know that our gardens and picnic areas ARE available if you'd like to enjoy a little more time at the farm. Please make sure you put any and all trash into the trash cans provided.

Admission Fee: $4/person ages 3 and up. Cash and Venmo accepted. There are times when admissions are staffed. If you come during those times, credit card is also accepted.

Hours: daily 10am to sunset (and yes, we do come out at the end of the day to make sure visitors are not here after dark. Speaking from experience this needs to be stated. )

PETS and SMOKING are NOT ALLOWED at the farm.

You may cut your own flowers for $1.50/stem. Also, we do ask that you try NOT to clip your flowers from the edges/photo op areas where most people take their photos. If you clip flowers from further in the field, you will leave the flowers for others to take nice photos with.

Our patch is not a 20 acre field; it's about 2 acres...

and you cannot really see it from the road and not even much from the parking area, but I assure you it's there.

There are three plots which were stagger planted so you will notice that one plot is much farther along at the beginning, while the other two don't have as many blooms. Around August 9th, we expect all three plots to be close to full bloom, and the week after that, one plot will begin to fade while the others are still going strong.

Explore all sides of the patch (typically the flowers face east), the trails, and nooks and crannies. Find the fun photo ops (5 of them), and take lots of pictures. After last week's storms with 50mph winds, we do have some areas that are wind blown... especially one of our new varieties that has thinner stems. Nature always has to throw us a few curve balls.

Our PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY is on our website. Professional photographers are expected to follow our policy and will be stopped if they have not contacted us to reserve a time.

Please give us grace about ongoing messes/projects happening on the farm right now. This is a very busy time for us as we prepare for the upcoming fall season.

And finally, please remember this is a farm. There are bees in the sunflower field, the ground is uneven, and while things are beautiful, it's nature and nothing is perfect. Shoes are required, and PLEASE be respectful of our property. Thank you and ENJOY!!!
